THE CONCEPT

A visual theology of Another Way

The Beatitudes are given on a mountain. In Matthew 5, Jesus ascends the mountain and teaches his disciples a vision for life in the kingdom of heaven. The mountain anchors the series visually in the Sermon on the Mount, while the figure climbing toward the summit represents a movement toward the way Jesus describes-a life shaped by humility, mercy, righteousness ,purity, peacemaking, and faithfulness.

THE BREAK IN THE LANDSCAPE

The blue field intentionally interrupts the otherwise monochromatic world. The climber stands at its threshold: behind and beneath him is the familiar world, rendered in black and white; ahead is an opening into vivid color. The contrast visualizes the central premise of the series-the kingdom Jesus describes is lived within the same world, but according to another way.

The color is not an escape from the world. It is another way of living within it.

THE SERIES

One system. Eight Messages.

Each week introduces a new image and accent color, while retaining the same grid, typography, photographic treatment, and editorial hierarchy. Color functions as a visual interruption, echoing the central idea: Jesus' teaching challenges familiar assumptions with the alternative values of Christ’s kingdom.
